According to my buddy Elder C. Anderton this is the last of the long days and its over! I'm still learning so much but its getting very difficult to stay in class and not get stressed. I look forward to teaching mock investigators and right now my planning time is dedicated to them. I'm learning tons on how to make study time useful but it all still relies on the Spirit.
I'm not counting down the days till I can hit the actual mission field and start teaching the people of Hawaii. It was nice to go to the gym and run around and play ball. I've also developed a good habit and a love for writing in my journal. It makes me feel like I'm telling stories at home.
A word of advice to all the 'missionaries to be' back home:
- Master Preach My Gospel - it is your best friend
- Pray, pray, pray - Nothing get prepare you more to feel the Spirit
- Be nice to EVERYONE - you can never know what might be happening in their lives and how you might be able to help them return to Christ.
- Finally, don't be afraid to act on the Spirit
Send my love to everyone. Keep the letters coming. They keep me sane. Also, I need stamps because they cost a fortune here.
Love,
Elder Matua
